Engraving is optional and priced separately from the frame or album, so you can buy any item plain or add personalization at checkout. You choose the wording and the lettering style; not every font fits every piece, so the available options appear in the drop-down menu on each product page.

Want a family crest, monogram, or company logo on a frame? Our custom logo engraving service can etch a crest or logo from artwork you supply.

Inspiration by Occasion

Engraving ideas for picture frames

Not sure what to put on it? A few starting points by occasion:

Wedding The couple’s names and wedding date, a shared last name with “Est. [year],” or an interlocking-script monogram.
Anniversary “[Names] — [number] Years,” the wedding date, or a short phrase the couple uses with each other.
New baby Full name and birth date, birth stats, or a simple “Welcome, [Name].”
New home The family name with “Est. [year],” the street address, or a family crest.
Graduation The graduate’s name, school, and class year.
Retirement Recipient name, years of service, and organization — especially fitting on the rosewood book-clock frame.
Coach or mentor “Coach [Name],” the team name, and the season or year.
Memorial A name with birth and passing years, or a brief line of remembrance.

Keep in mind that each piece has a character limit, and longer text engraves smaller — so shorter, meaningful wording usually looks best. If you’d like to include a line from a favorite song or poem, use your own paraphrase or a short original phrase to keep it personal.
